Bellini's were once the delicious staple at Italian restaurants and wedding showers. But as time goes one we're seeing bellini's become a great alternative to sangrias and margaritas -- and not to mention, they're incredibly easy to make. While bellini's usually use fresh fruit juices or nectars, we paired a prosecco with our recently brewed Hard Cider (we know what you're thinking ... double the alcohol content). This drink is strong, but with the added rosemary it's a great drink to pair with steaks and salad with a a summer dinner with friends, or an evening pool side.
If the high alcohol content isn't up your alley, or you want to have a pretty drink for a baby shower, the mocktail version is below. We'll be 'crafting' more cocktails using Craft a Brew's Hard Cider, but if you have a favorite version of a bellini, comment below!
Craft A Brew Hard Cider
Green Apples (Small Granny Smith)
After you make your own hard cider, this is the perfect way to showcase your homemade brew. To create the scalloped bottom, cut the apple slices thinly and cut in half. Place around base of glass.
Pour 1/3 cup of your cider into the glass, then add a splash (okay a few splashes) of prosecco on top. Add a swig of rosemary – and you’re set! Seriously, this pretty, not to mention delicious drink is that easy.
Need an alternative for the kids? Or not trying to get turnt before brunch? For a mocktail version try the same recipe but with apple cider and Topo Chico … still refreshing, and just as delicious.
