Let’s just say we have a thing for school busses. In Marfa we were lucky enough to eat in one, and on a random Saturday we serendipitously stumbled upon a lot of yellow (and one multi-colored) busses. These primary school busses made the perfect backdrop for our primary color inspired wardrobe. While this looked like a dream location – there were a few obstacles. First – we had to find an inconspicuous place to change and not get charged with public indecency. Once we tackled that awkward hurdle and headed back over to our treasure chest of transportations, we discovered there was a tow-truck ready-and-waiting for anyone who violated the one-hour parking rule.
Both settling on denim for our bottom layer, we paired with our favorite base colors. Patricio channeled his inner greaser – Chuck tailors and a denim jacket. While I opted for something a little less rebellious; a glittered stiletto. Sadly, we didn’t dress like this in high school – you can check our Facebooks if you need proof. But nowadays style is something we both live and breathe. Don’t be afraid to dress down a pair of jeans with your sneakers, or throw on a little glitz even on the most mundane of days. Jeans can be a canvas for any outfit, and are becoming the staple of companies like Madewell and Gap.
You’re probably wondering if we were able to get out of there in less than an hour – Well, we did, with 25 minutes to spare and a nostalgia for the days where Tyra would have been rooting for us like Tiffany. (Never forget)
