The best weekends start with a plea for the other to be on board for whatever is coming. This weekend was no different. Houston’s own Sugar & Cloth recently launched the fantastic Color Wall on the side of their headquarters. Houston is only a three-hour drive, so why not take a mini-road trip to bask in this pastel paradise?
As we crash into Spring, Festival Season quickly approaches. It will be a summer of fringe vests and flash tats, but also a one-stop-shop for the best acts in the world. Coachella has kicked things off, and soon your favorites will stop in cities across the nation to be apart of an ensemble of different genres, sounds, fan bases and calibers.
Start your week with Mint Society’s second playlist featuring our favorite tunes to get us through the week. While some of these may not be Easter-appropriate (Here’s to you 2 Chainz), these are our favorite jams to start off Spring.
If SXSW wasn’t in someone’s repertoire, you can guarantee it is after President Obama descended upon Austin, ate at the famous Torchy’s Tacos and gave a keynote address on the global impact of technology (as well as attended two other functions … all in a day, right?). For over thirty years SXSW has grown into a phenomenon where industry insiders, celebrities, bloggers and those passionate about getting a glimpse of this insane two-week ordeal flock to the Texas capital – all while most Austinites choose to hibernate for these near fourteen days. Going to SXSW is definitely a commitment, but in true Mint Society fashion, we decided on an impromptu day trip a week before. We've pulled together a playlist of our favorite songs from the new bands that we found on our day trip to SXSW.
